About
Te Tiriti o Waitangi Beginner Course is part of the Āhei education series by Māori Minds, which adopts a unique video guided wānanga approach. The course begins with a video introducing the Āhei series, followed by two foundational videos on wānanga and tikanga to support how learners engage with the content and with each other. It then moves through four beginner videos exploring Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Each video answers a guiding question with a clear, accessible overview, then offers optional wānanga prompts to support groups to learn together. The online course includes six companion worksheets containing bonus material, one for each main video. Learners are supported through videos, worksheets, quizzes, and self reflection activities, and receive a certificate of completion upon completion. Designed for healthcare workers, students, newcomers to Aotearoa, and anyone seeking an introduction to Te Tiriti o Waitangi grounded in Māori ways of learning.
